Dr. Armando M. Canoy is the 9th president of PBTS. Dr. Canoy was a church-planter, denominational leader in the Luzon Convention of Southern Baptist Churches, and a local church pastor. Before coming to PBTS, Dr. Canoy was senior pastor at University Baptist Church (Manila) for 13 years before his election as president on September 12, 2012.

Dr. Canoy is author of the “Assuming” Series published by the Church Strengthening Ministries (CSM). These books explore various aspects of church-life with his signature wit and humor. Dr. Canoy is married to Violeta and with their daughter Joanne Ysabel. Dr. Canoy teaches courses in Practical Theology mainly in Homiletics.
