This is the last quarter of the School Year 2016-17. During this “end of times” students are frantically meeting the class requirement deadlines. Hopeful students are in quandary whether they are really graduating or “gradwaiting!” The seminary graduation ceremony will be held on March 17, 2017. There are more or less 130 candidates for graduation in the Associate, Bachelor, and the Master degree programs. Moreover, the Asia Baptist Graduate Theological Seminary has three Doctor of Theology degree candidates for graduation. All the way from the United States, Dr. Rico Almiranez, is this year’s graduation speaker. Dr. Rico is a PBTS and ABGTS alumnus and he is the current pastor of the Filipino Community Church in Hungtington Beach, California.

During the chapel service on March 9, Dr. Paul Tabon commissioned 33 students for their Summer Internship and encouraged and challenged the Interns to . . .
“Preach the Gospel faithfully and intentionally whenever there is an opportunity. Beseech the believers to imitate Christ; not themselves. Tactfully handle all issues of life and ministry; be careful, not careless, and to serve the Lord joyfully; not grudgingly. Integrity has to be maintained at all times. Never compromise the Gospel for the sake of self-satisfaction. Trust God always for all their needs. Enthusiasm in service is important. Respect all people in authority, and never murmur or complain while serving.”
