Summer! Summer! Summer! It’s the most awaited time for most students, professionals, and businessmen to take a break from their daily schedules and routine. In PBTS, it has been a tradition for employees to allot some time for “staff outing” yearly. This was a wonderful gesture from the administration to give its staff opportunity to relax from their tedious work and be rejuvenated.
This year’s staff outing was extra amazing—an adventure to Palawan! There were fifteen of us who went to Palawan and explored the unique beauty of the place. All of us were so excited as we had the night trip going down to Manila and all the way to the airport. What made us more thrilled in this journey was that boarding a plane was a new experience for most of us. I saw the glow in the eyes of my fellow staff as we were lining up to check-in—Kodak here and Kodak there!
On March 26 we arrived at the Palawan airport. The hostel staff welcomed us with shell garlands. Wow, di ba feelin’ turista na rin! The weather was hot, but the place is peaceful and clean, I suppose. As our itineraries have been arranged we did not have hard time with our adventure.
There are many tourist spots and places in Palawan but our package tour included only venturing the Underground River, Honda Bay Hopping, the Mitra Ranch and the Crocodile Park. Of all the places we explored, I was amazed by the Underground River. I was truly stunned by God’s infinite power in orchestrating His magnificent creation.
Besides enjoying the wonderful nature, I was blessed being with fellow workers—it’s a precious time that I cannot ignore. The bonding through our fun games, devotionals every morning, the four-day journey together were experiences I well treasured. Until next outing!
